Well a couple of weeks ago someone posted a thread about a guitar that tuned itself!
On delving deeper it seemed that you could set the guitar to tune to a number of different tunings great if you are into playing slide.
I see F3nd3r have a similar system on one of their guitars.
Now remember this is a fun thread and I realise that we can't have every innovation we see on an EB! - but as a flight of fancy It seems cool.
Maybe I should just buy the after market kit for 700 euros. ;)

There is a reason why they don't make a bongo guitar. I had my hands on one at the Open House as well as others......just didn't look right. I thought I would like it, then I saw it...

I saw the pics. That shape was much like the proto Bongo bass, which also just looked wrong. Circular, it was. Looked like Cartman.

But BP tweaked the shape of the bass into the thing of beauty we now enjoy.

I think the same could be done with a Bongo guitar, but what do I know?

Bupkis, that's what.

But it matters not. BP has categorically ruled it out. The Man hath spoken. Listen to the Man. Do not frak with the admiral.

Can you pass a urine test? The bongo bass is very close to the original...the bongo guitar is very homely.....It would be the last guitar invited to the prom! (dont get sensitive about the urine test Im just kidding)

Im not kidding though....... the Bongo guitar barks like an irish setter

I'd like to see a EBMM lap steel! Not just any steel, one incorperating modern designs and technoligy. One that honors its roots but is not stuck in the past.

An EBMM doubleneck would be awesome. It'll probably never happen but I'd grab it in a heartbeat. More realistically I agree that a line of acoustics could be pretty awesome.

You can have an EBMM doubleneck now.......but only if you're the guitarist with the Eagles!
OLP do one though.

Well...actually...
I wish!
I know about the OLP doubleneck but to be honest it's a bit repulsive.

Actually I thought the Eagles' one was too....the headstock of the 12 string was about a mile long!

Don't know about a DVD I saw it on TV in Saudi Arabia in January (the Eagles' Latest Farewell tour.....most of them looked like the Florida Mafia). Think the guy's name is Stuart Smith....try a Forum Search for more details.

Well yeah... I think that proto is missing the Bongo Bass headstock, which might make that design more complete?
I also think it looks naked with out a pick guard which I think is an important visual piece of the Bongo design for me.
The green Bass here looks like a bottoms up view of a frying pan.

i also always dream of ebmm reverse headstock..

sometimes i think about trading my ebmm's neck with lefty ebmm player so he also can play a reversed headstock ebmm :D:D..

anyone interested?

@rob:
did stuart smith related with the ball family? i'm curious because he has a limited double neck silo but he's not ebmm artist (he played a fen#er on that concert)

edit :
