I think at the moment MG with RW is definately the leading choice!tiffles said:phatty stop it im jealous. lol. yeah go a rosewood board, itll just make the finish look 'warmer' someone here has the hottest mg bongo with pau ferro board, its not the same but its closer...
For an approximation, clink the link:azzy_wazzy said:.........- I am clueless when it comes to picking the colour. My current bass is trans red, so as much as I love it, I shouldn't really have 2 in the same colour. I would have got a Treacle bass (DG with white ice PG after the cat in my avatar) but whilst that looks great on a Bongo, not too sure how well it'll work on a Sterling. .......

I am VERY happy with my 1989 SR4, the ONE and ONLY real classic that have stood the test of time among a few others in bass history.
Why do I love it so much? Bird's eye snappy maple fretboard, zingy 2EQ pre-amp, larger but light ash body, IDEAL for slap (sound and layout, with no pickup close to the neck interfering with index and middle fingers' string pulling). This may cause outrage, but I am not very interested in Bongos.

Not going to cause and outrage. There are however a whole bunch of us that do not share your disinterest in Bongos.
