You are right about the controls.

But I'd prefer 2 output jacks for the two basses, this would allow to use a A/B floor switch to jump from fretless to fretted.

The 4 controls could be:
#1 fretless volume
#2 fretted volume
#3 hi freq (double pot)
#4 lo freq (double pot)

Unfortunately I keep recording fretless and fretted bass parts close to each other so that on stage I have to use one of those electronic "defretter" to get closer to the recorded thing...

PS: the picture is just a 5 minutes work with "paint".
