Well... my Les Paul still remains to be the best guitar I've ever known. But if it weren't for that, I think a Luke would serve me just fine. I kinda wish the bridge PU was a little fuller, for overdrive stuff, but I can live with it just fine. It's by far the most comfortable guitar I've ever owned, and that neck is to die for. I just can't say enough about the Luke (or my BFR for that matter)!

I think I'd really love a JP though. I'm gonna try and shoot for a LE08 JP next year I think. Cuz I don't think I'll ever get lucky enough to score a Dargie JP!

As far as brand? MM hands down. I don't think there is a finer guitar Manu out there. Every MM I've ever had has been consistent, top notch build, classy, comfortable, and so so awesome feeling.
Just like a woman!

If I could only own 1 guitar?

for me, lately, it's all about the Axis Super Sport .... natural finish ... humbuckers ... tremolo ... rosewood fretboard ....:)

.... course, there are always a few others that call out to me ... especially the Rosewood Super Sport. d'oh!;)

cheers always, eh

I hear ya Beej. I also vote for this one, but it isn't a hypothetical situation form met at all. I just recored a clip for Tonefreak effects of the new Melo Tremo with my Morse. I started with the Morse with the DiMarzio Area 58 and 61s thinking it would be nice to contrast it with a recording of an apparently amazing custom Tele one of my students loaned me, but I just couldn't get motivated to play that thing. The Morse just spoils you in terms of feel and tonal performance.

Well, although I probably play my Axis more in the band I am in, my one guitar or desert island guitar would be my Silo Special. It has the best neck I have ever played.

My AL is my favorite player, but I prefer the tone of my ASS with MM-90s a little more. So, I guess if I could only have one guitar, it would be an MM-90 AL.

I would still need the Morse sometimes, thought.

Crap. Forget it. I couldn't do it.
