I still have my 2 PRS guitars, but since that fateful day in April when I bought a secondhand Axis Sport I have offloaded a Tom Anderson, a Gibson Zakk Wylde and an Explorer to fund EBMM GAS.

My current stash is

Axis Sport (red 2 Hums, rosewood)
Axis SuperSport (red flame MM90 Piezo)
Axis (Purple flame - D-Tuna)
JPM6 (Black sparkle)
Luke (Blue Pearl)

I think I have an addiction!

Absolutely not. I tried numerous PRS, Tom Anderson, Tyler and Suhr models and plumped for the Luke and Axis instead. On pure merit as well, not cost. I've yet to play anything better...

After watching it collect dust on the wall for about two years, I finally sold my PRS maybe 18 months back to fund another Axis. No regrets at all... :D

No. I don't think I'd trade any of my guitars for a PRS. Except for maybe my Carvin Bolt +. Nice axe but no PRS.

Depends - I'd have to play both and decide. I have a singlecut trem which I love, and a McCarty rosewood on the way - no matter what you might think, they are great guitars. Not sure if I'd part with my EVH for any other guitar, but the Sil Special would go in a heartbeat if something better came along :)

Everytime I pull out my prs custom 24 and play it (once every 4-6 months or so), I'm disappointed.

The neck (wide thin) is uncomfortable for me now, and it doesn't sound as good as my Lukes.

Still the best looking guitar I own though (natural 10 top quilt).

Remind me not to let Koogie near it.

I sold a Blue Dawn Super Sport last year becuase I thought I just had to have a PRS Singlecut when the lawsuit business was getting rolling. A store near me had a couple and I called the guy and told him to put this one aside for me. I posted my BD Axis and Lew jumped on it so quick it wasn't funny. A couple of days later, I went to the shop, money in hand and played the guitar. What a mistake. I should have played it *first*. Lesson learned the hard way. I told him he could put it back up on the rack, I couldn't stand the neck and I wasn't going to pay $2700 for something that might be worth a couple more dollars a few years down the road.

Live and learn... Nothing beats a Music Man neck, and that chunk of wood hanging off the end is pretty nice too...

Cheers Lew, I haven't seen you around much lately, I hope you're still enjoying it.
