If you had to change your pickguard on your main EB bass. What would you change it to?

Im kinda bored, and curiosity got the best of me. So Im curious to see what the most well liked (or licked in Dudes case) pickguard is.

Those of you who love your bass as it is. Just pick a pickguard please.

Sorry Jason. Only EB offered pickguards listed. :D

I voted white pearloid cuz it's pretty & goes w/just about anything.
Tort may actually be my favorite but it doesn't go well with as many
colors IMO.

edit: Now that I think about some more, I can't think of many colors
that don't look good with tort . . hmmmm . . .I likem both

Same here. What finish?

I think the moonstone guards are ultra-cool but might not be so aesthetically pleasing on some colors.

The black ice looked good on my Black Sapphire but not so good on the Desert Gold.

We used to say, "When in doubt, tort that beeyotch."

Where can we find GOOD pictures of all the pick guards. If there is no 20th anniv Silo to help me limit my choices, I think I will go with Graphite Pearl and a dark color guard. Straight black is just to plain for me.

Already changed...

to abalone. So I checked moonstone. My PBB Sterling (rosewood, matching headstock) came with a white pearloid pg. I just didn't like it, so I ordered an abalone from WD. But what I really wanted to say is that I think light colored pg's look best on maple neck basses (and guitars). Therefore, if I had a maple fretboard on my Sterling, I would probably have left the white pg on it. But I like dark color pg's with rosewood. It doesn't matter to me what color the guitar is, it's the neck that I try to match with. That being said, a sunburst or natural body cries out for tort no matter what the fretboard, although natural looks nice with plain white or black, regardless of the neck. There, I think I've let it all out. I feel better now.

It depends on the model & color for me.

+1, although tort covers a lot of bases (pun intended). For example, in my herd the pickguard changes have been -

black SR: black pg > tort
yellowed olympic white SR: black > tort > black
rolls burgundy Bongo: fugly factory pg > tort
ash blonde P: black > tort

By my count, the torts have it.

My SR5 is Egyptian Smoke with a matching headstock, rosewood fretboard, and an Anaconda pickguard. I'd probably swap it to white pearloid if I had to. A white pickup cover would be in order at that point too. :)
