- we're totally Spoiled

It's a real "ear-opener" to get together with some little 'granola girlies' and a few of their BlueGrass buddies;
- about an hour into the evening, when the fiddlers are warmed up and the banjos are as tuned as they'll ever be, the 'birdees' come out to sing
- and before you know it, all the fancy music boxes take a back seat
- and there's some little honey strummin' on an orange crate, make'n everyone's troubles go away with the voice of an angel

And then she flies away 'til next week ...
- but ya gotta coax her down

One thing for sure, I'm learning more about being a 'supportive' bass player,
and I get my giggles out of fakin' them into thinkin' I'm a 'standup'

i have some of those high pitched things ...

ive got a JP6, and axis SS w/ MM90s, 2 les pauls, a tele and a gretsch setzer hot rod.

my favs are the JP, ASS and the Gretsch. IMHO those 3 are WAY different and each excel at different things. I really want a Rosewood SS tho ... so maybe that means that the ASS inches ahead of the recent. i really wish i spent some time with an AL at open house ... they look sweet and from what i hear are pretty damn kick ass guitars.

Since I don't *really* play one, but I have one and I mess with it, it's a MM Ho, an OLP Baritone Silhouette copy. It's strung E-E [Jerry Jones string set]. I also keep a jazzbox handy, another ho, a Jay Turser. Got Duncan '59s and flatwound 12s and decent g*****ists love it. Geetards hate it.

Sometimes I play the jazzbox when Ms Diva has her boytoy on the Djembe. I figger if he can pound away on something he can't play, I'll do the same. But unlike boytoy, I *know* I'm on an ax I don't know how to handle, so I don't make a lot of pointless noise.

I have one of those strange artifacts; it's called an Epiphone Les Paul. I ordered some DImarzio's.
If I had the money and I'd considered myself good enough, I'd buy one of those Steve Morse 2àth anniversery guitars.
Other guitar I really, really like; GIbson Les Paul, Ibanez JEM, MM Petrucci, MM Silhouet, MM Luke

I've got me a Blender Am Std Strat w/Lace Sensors. Nice single coil sound, great neck. Definitely the nicest one I own.

I've also got an Indonesian LP copy that I put Seymour Duncans in that is just fine for what I've put into it.

And finally, I just picked up an Ibenhad Tartcore AS73 (ES335-type thing) that is also just great for the price, (although I feel I may be aiding & abetting the Red Overthrow by sending my money to the PRC.)

I put all these through a F@nder Blooz Jr. with assorted FX and it sounds pretty cool...

(Now here's my humble attempt to unify the thread): If I thought my "talent" (cough, cough) on guitar justified spending the type of ching I've spent on my bass rig (MM, Amp@g, Ed#n cab), I would be checking out them EB guitars, just on the strength of the bass. (That Albert Lee model looks particularly interesting to my jaded eye )

Pricey cabs and amps for bass? Hell, yeah!

I guess that's what makes me a bassist. (although that Blooz Jr. is much easier on the back come gig time!)

Bass dudes - some of you have taste - though I think your horizons are a little low - trying to pick one EBMM guitar is futile - in less than a year from my first purchase I now own 11!

I love the Anniversary Silo but the only thing that bothers me (and some of my thin stringed brethren) is the fact they arent symmetrical - two screws on the bass, one on the treble.

Hello, my name is Jack and I'm a bassist and I want either an Albert Lee in an obnoxious color or an Axis SS with those big fat P-90 looking things.

But it's a dream. I spend way too much time thinking about bass to worry about guitar now.

Camp Bovine does harbor guitars.....a pewter 88 American Standard Strat that I've had since, well, 1988. A surf green Tele that I painted, finished and built in my garage during the summer of 2001. (Some of you may have seen my bandmate Brian playing that one. He likes it more than I do.) Some cheap (hah) Martin acoustic thing.

Shameful, isn't it.
