an HSH Albert would kill

I hope I get to see Mr Lee soon, I'll mention it to him !!! ;)

The only thing that comes to mind, and it's entirely from a personal and aesthetic perspective, are the volume and tone knobs on the JP. I really like metal or chromed knobs on guitars.

Yup I gotta agree on that one!

optional black hardware for the JP!

Mahogany bodied maple topped semi-hollow Axis with f-hole, rosewood peizo bridge (i.e. acoustic style but string through body) and a coil tapped mini-humbucker in the neck position.[/QUOTE]

Like a stealth version ? - nice!! I'm loving the F hole idea too!!

use the JP trem on other vintage-trem guitars...silo special, axis, etc
It's a nice trem - I like the one on the AL too.

Silo Special with clear or no pickguard, or even something that only covers the cavities but still shows off the rest of the body.

Love to see a BFR AL like that!!!

I'll take a JP Double Neck. Does that count?
Oh yes it counts allright !!

probably an ASS in a H-S configuration with a fretless board!!!!!
+1

Easy one for me Spud.

Take a standard flame topped ASS hardtail piezo in trans blue..........

....then put a SOLID ROSEWOOD NECK on it :D:D:D

Dave

Your easily pleased Dave !!! ;)

standard Silo size nut on the JP, not the wider nut.

What's the thinking on that one WD?

Semi-hollow ASS MM90 would be great.

OR ASS w/ arm contour (still w/ binding!).

OR shorter-scale (24" or 24.75") ASS or AL.

On a less (yet somehow more) serious note, an ASS and AL with African Mahogany body, premium finish, and special inlays. ;)

+1 to all that !!

After thinking about it I'm happy with what I own now and what I have on order :)

But "What if .... "? ;)

...and offer Surf or Seafoam Green on all models!

Steve

And me personally that's the only time I'd have a matching headstock - but lets not open up another debate here ! :)

Cool. A suggestion.

Take off the neck. Put the body in the dryer with ten nails and ten quarters. Run for 15 minutes on full heat.

Let me know how it turns out. :)

Oh and I would modify JP's prototype from score. It would be exactly the same,
the only difference being that it would belong to me!

No, no, no it needs to belong to ME!!!:D

That's mine nearly..BFR JP in SUNBURST!

how bout this...

eliminate the pick up selector switch, just put in one pick up that you can slide  you know, put it on some kind of rail system. you can slide it to as close to the bridge as you want..... or as close to the neck as you want....

i can see the advertisement for the gimmick now.... "INFINITE TONE POSSIBLITIES!!!!!!!" :D

That would be cool until you decided you wanted to switch tones while you were in the middle of a song.

6 - And just because I think it's such a good guitar, I believe anyone should have the oppourtunity to enjoy them, a left handed version of the JP's.

I love you.
Ima stop bitching about that though, I know the deal-e-o of why it can't happen.

I have an alternate suggestion. Send me the guitar. I will pay for shipping and even give you a brand new squier stratocaster that you can relic to your hearts content. :D

Let's refrain from sullying this thread with mention of other brands, and let's get back to the topic at hand. We've had some great suggestions see the light of day, and the nod of approval has been tenatively given:

what i like is the consensus here

So, let's not ruin such an exciting and imaginative thread by silly comments like this. Back to the chit chat about ideas for the R&D!

8. (or at least I think I'm on number eight) Putting locking tuners on the Axis. I imagine with that it would add increased stability to the FR. I know the locking nut does really well, but I would think that locking tuners would add that much more stability to the tuning. All of my friends that play Axii with FR's on them have commented that this is the best FR system they've ever played. I think to improve on an all ready amazing thing is smart upon smart!

PS You're welcome for my personal moderation, Spud.
