I've also thought a back loaded Silo Special would be cool.

I'm a simple man and i like simple guitars with not too many options to choose from, too confusing:p
I'd love an Al with only one pickup, the bridge pu.

Actually, i'm modifying my bender Al into something similar. After i sold my black Al MM90 the buyer told me a bit later that he had replaced the bridge pu with a P90 sized humbucker. He then gave me the original MM90 pickup, how cool is that?::eek:

So, now i'm making a new pickguard with only room for a bridge P90, if i deside i don't like it i can change it back to original.

If I could change anything it would either be:

having the JP trem available on the other guitars

or

a toggle switch for the piezo on the non-JP guitars.

that's all. :)

I like what we have offered already. Though I think rosewood neck on the Axis would be cool or just the option for rosewood fretboard. But neither of these will keep me from buying and enjoying the balls all ready offered.

that's janine's guitar now. (steve's wife)
she also prefers bindingless.
when that guitar first surfaced.....i was speechless !!!!
dark purple back & sides.

I realized there are photos of the proto w/o the binding around (I'm sure someone has a better photo) - I love it.

how bout this...

eliminate the pick up selector switch, just put in one pick up that you can slide  you know, put it on some kind of rail system. you can slide it to as close to the bridge as you want..... or as close to the neck as you want....

i can see the advertisement for the gimmick now.... "INFINITE TONE POSSIBLITIES!!!!!!!" :D

I would like some JP's Y2d's or AL's ( I am not a picky guy) to be backwards!
On my current Silo Special I would just like a trem (looks like I will see the light on that one before that crazy conflangled idea above)

I'd like to see coil tapping on all of the guitars, and I wouldn't mind if the tremelo arm was secured by a nut and washer in the back.

I don't know if this counts...

But I came up with a couple single options for guitars that would be neat: Keep in mind that none of these are more than one together, so I think although taking the rules very loosely, it still works:

1.) LUKE with Silhouette Special pickups. i.e. getting that sexy V neck with body mounted pickups so that you'd eliminate the pickguard. Would bring extra pleasure out of ordering such colors as sunburst or blue dawn.

2.) Silhouette Special Rosewood. i.e. exact same ideas as the rosewood axis, but with the Silhouette. Body mounted pickups, eliminating the pickguard, and the rosewood neck. Yum-yum.

3.) Different pickguard options as far as what pickup slots are cut. That would eliminate the difficulty with getting an AL with H-S-S. You could just call up Beth and be like "hey mah sista from anotha mista... me needs a H-S-S AL PG. Word." And then she'd hang up on you!

3a) Have the pickups available for sale on their own through an EBMM online store. I know how many people complain that they want the old EVH pickups so why not just get some more made? They're a custom/premium pickup, so you know interest would perk up. Just don't market them as EVH. Market them as "Vintage Axis" so that those in the know would pick up what was being put down. This would also allow people to get their hands on the custom wound versions of the PAF pickups that are in the Silhouette.

4.) 2008 LE - Spalted maple top Axis and Super Sport. It's sexy, and would rock knots with the little blems that come in it.

5.) Obviously to back up my previous postings (I've probably done ten now) a left handed AL would be super. It's been done before, there's no new parts to create (a la left handed JP trem) and let's face facts: everything is better in the hands of a right minded person.

Hahahahaha. Hopefully this plays by the rules. If not, I'll post five different times to be a pain in the bum. :D

I like the Spalted maple idea.... I just found a great peice of flamed spalted maple, truley an amazing peice, I thought about putting it on my Silo but I decided to go with my 7 string to make it even more metal. And I am putting an Xn2 and D-sonic (in the neck!) in it also
