...was having this conversation on my way to a gig on Saturday with our bass player.

Came to the conclusion (aside from the obvious stuff like clearing mortgages for people etc etc) that pretty much my first call would be to San Os, Calif......to arrange a visit to the facility and spec out a couple of Brand X models based on a Petrucci body, Floyd-Rose, maple top that goes to the forearm cutaway and then blends into a darker wood for the cutout itself (remember Pedulla basses - they did this type of thing), bound body with bound fingerboard, and matching bound colour matched headstock. Prob get an additional single coil DiMarzio in the middle position for some cool out of phase sounds as well, and a jack socket similar to that of a Jem whereas the lead is totally out of the way........

Unfortunately - I didn't win.

Damn.

Hmmmm...I think I'd simply go down to Pete DuBaldo and take everything he had in stock. Then I'd spec out an Axis with green quilt....no....orange quilt....no....maybe a few of them. The back would be white instead of black and have both piezo and sustainer options with the 25th tone block, routing and contour and maple fretboard, but with 24 frets and a push/pull volume to split the hums.

Then I'd get some EBMM picks.

Winning the lotto would give me the opportunity to get some bfrs(luke,Al and Axis), Morses, and buy some sparkle colors in addition to some bass guitars.I'd also like to own some silo's as well.

I'd definitely buy one or two of every model of EBMM that I like, fully loaded, all natural headstocks. That would include a MM-90 AL, an Pacific Blue Burst Axis, Trans Blue ASS, a 25th anniversary, a Silo Special, and a Silo.

I'd also track down a few collector pieces. Some EVH's, a few other models that are in rare colors/configs.

That would be hard, because I never play the lottery. However, my odds of winning are only slightly slimmer than those that do. ;)

axis super sport with trem and arm contour....mystic dream.....cream binding....maple with natty headstock....abalone inlays.....pearloid tuning heads.

That would be number one. There would be more to follow.

If I won the lottery, I'd first be surprised that I was irrational enough to buy a lottery ticket. I'd buy a bigger house and a bunch of musical equipment, including two or three BFR Petruccis, a few Mesa Boogie amps, and some other cool stuff. I'd keep my job, though, because I have the best job in the world. (Heck, other people rank it in the top 12.) Other than that, not sure much would change in my life.

I would buy Morse #27 from ebay and some good steaks. And a bunch of 25th Anniversary Guitars.

I would just buy every EBMM I see. I would take a road trip to a few states, going to all the Guitar Centers and buying all their EBMM guitars (and maybe some basses). The guitars are somewhat rare to find in GCs near me, so it would be really fun to go "Music Man hunting" haha. I would also pick up some Mesa amps and cabs and some other cool things along the way. Oh, and there's this store about 40 minutes away that has a Blue Dawn JP, Tobacco Burst ASS, and Trans Red AL...

I would buy from all the small shops....screw GC!

Sorry, but not a fan of the big box.

I'd start by getting out of debt. Then I'd find a couple hundred (or couple thousand) acres of prime hardwood somewhere, preferably with some fishing ponds scattered around, but I could always dig those. Then I'd find a place on that land to build our dreamhouse. While the house was being built, I'd take the family on an extended vacation before my son starts school next year.

After that, I'd start stocking the guitar room. I'd probably start with a BCB ASS with trem and piezo, a Mystic Dream JP, a PBB Sterling, a 25th with both fat strings and skinny strings and a BFR AL. Probably look for a 2007 LE Axis for me, and a 2005 LE Axis or JP to put away for my son (if I could somehow find one that was born on the same day he was, that would be really cool -- hey, if you can win the lottery anything can happen, right?) There are probably a few more guitars that I'd pick up, but those can't be mentioned here. :p What can I say? I come from the school that teaches you can never have enough guitars.

I don't think I would go crazy with the guitars. I surely wouldn't buy anything just as a novelty. I only ever buy what I intend to use.

But I would probably invest in a proper jam room type studio with all the works, drums, mics, keyboards, beer coolers, pinball machines etc. I would like a big variety of amps however or at least enough to cover all the flavors.

As far as gear goes, all I would really want is a BFR Axis in trans black, a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30R 1/2 stack, an original '65 Twin Reverb, and some boutique pedals. Then I'd build a modest studio. The rest of the money can go to more worthy causes.
