Just to keep this alive :D

How about a 4H Bongo and SR4 in whatever color with a large MM logo (like on the headstock -- 2 guys with guitars) between the pickup and the neck with a clear pickguard to protect it and The words 'Forum Member Limited Edition' on the back neck plate?

Just a thought :)

I'm happy, I just got a new fretless SR, and I wouldn't change a thing :)

somebody just said this was the most comfortable place in the world in another thread and i just suddenly thought we should have lounge chairs with some kind of convenient cutout so that you can recline and play bass at the same time...and maybe be on the forums as well...if such a thing is possible

...and i suppose the chair would have to have a sparkle finish

There ya go a special body for the EB forum bass. One that rests on the recliiner in perfect playble position. I think EB can do that :) Oh and standard pickups with universal remote tv control. We can use that as a thumb rest.

If I'm playing bass in my recliner or in my lounge chair either one of two things are going on. I'm getting old and I can't stand on my feet for two hours to play live or I've broke my leg. My g/f would kill me if I played my bass while at home in the recliner. She'd say that I spend too much time w/ my bass.

What an interesting old thread to find, while I was searching for something else. Among threads, this one's a real character! Purple Paisley?!

It would make for interesting history if the '07 LE's Blue Dawn finish had this forum LE concept as one of its influences; did it, or not at all related?

BP, I hope you won't be angry with me for resurrecting this thread - I just thought it was quite ... colorful, no pun intended.

Edit: ok, pun intended, I guess. :)

Later,
Robert

I would say that this probably influenced the Dargie Delight more than the Blue Dawn LE, but who knows? Maybe both.

How did I miss this?

Hey, I'm flexible on the color. That being said, a 24 fret StingRay? I'll send the check right now! :D

Jack - You do start the best threads!:):)

The Lazarus Thread!

Indeed! Like I said, my main purpose for "raising" this one is just a little archaeological expedition to find out if this Forum LE movement ever found its way, in some shape or form, into any of the later LE's.

Also, though, I'll admit, it was to put it up on display for us newer folks, to commend & show support for both the idea and the enthusiasm, even though the notion has long since passed.
