I wish they would remove the barcodes from the new instruments. Although it may not improve the fine quality of the guitars, to me it projects the image of mass production and dilutes the cachet of the instruments, especially the BFR's. Many retail stores use those barcodes to track inventory, and EB uses them for the same reason - necks, cases, bodies, shipping boxes, etc. The fact that EB leaves them on to make things easier for the dealer is a nice gesture, from my skewed dealer point of view



They are simply a static cling, so no worries about them sticking on permanently!

Barcodes are the way of the world, in all honesty if the guitars I have bought from Pete and elsewhere did not have them I would question if they were new or not, please keep the barcode

The bar code makes it easy for our distributors and dealers...i really doesnt do anything for us.......

You know what they say...Keep the dealers happy and we are all happy

Random is a nice word. I think this is cool. An EBMM guitar owner carefully looks over his/her/it's guitar and could only find a barcode sticker to complain about. EBMM guitars and company are GREAT!

I have to agree...the bar codes don't bother me at all. In fact, I think it's pretty classy that they are only applied with static cling.

I bought a combination padlock the other day. I went to the gym, opened the package and found the manufacturer put a sticker on the back with the combination. Great. I go to peel it off and it is stuck on really hard. It took me a couple of minutes to scratch off just the numbers. Most of the sticker is still on it..... Geez I could have spent those extra minutes working on my abs.
