My new Bongo is so awesome, I've decided to replace my usual gigging 4-string bass. I originally wanted a stingray, but with more versatility. And something that looks a little more traditional than a Bongo.

I have decided on this. It will be ordered before the summer's out, hopefully.

I thought a lot about the roasted maple... I really did! But I'm not a fan of black basses, and I was hoping to keep the costs down a bit where I already have a limited run bass.

If I come into some more gigs before the month is out I may reconsider!

Also - I don't consider the Big Al traditional at all, which is why I love it! :) But compared to a Bongo, it does look a bit more so. Non-pointy headstock, sunburst finish, maple fingerboard... might be able to do a couple of Johnny Cash dinner theater shows with this one.
