I turned 30 this summer. I had a wonderful surprise bash. My friend got me a brand new BBQ oven to replace my old which was falling apart. They also did a wacky TV news report which lasted over 45 minutes and somehow summarized my life so far (They must have put hundreds of hours making this) ! Best day in my life so far !

I remember my 30th ... sheesh!

My ex threw me a surprise party with relatives that came in from England. Was great, except that my company was going down the tubes (all tech died in 2002 ...) and the next morning I had to get up and pull the "midnight move" to get our stuff out of the office before we had to default on our lease.

Drank all night, slept two hours and then had to move all of our servers, desks, etc. w/o the landlord finding out. Most stressful day of my life!

But it all worked out. Company recovered, I was eventually able to work out a deal with the landlord and pay him off, and the ex eventually left (which is good but that's another story).

So what am I saying? Happy almost birthday!
