Hey Nikki, congratulations! You got a great looking and sounding bass there!

I started playing bass at 14 as well and would have given and arm and a leg to own such a nice instrument back then (which was... some time ago ;) ). Looking forward to hearing some of your playing.

Thanks everybody. I know how special it is to have it, don't get me wrong… I still really don't believe I have it. I probably won't need a new bass ever again.

Well… I won't say THAT…

Oh, please elaborate :D

Not much happened xD I let him play it for a little bit and we talked about it and the tones and stuff, then decided we should probably get on with the lesson. But I saw the jealousy there. He's got a pretty cool old bass, though.

Congrats Nikki and welcome to the jungle.

That's a mighty fine instrument you have there. I was about your age when I got my first guitar around Christmas time. It was a nice instrument, but it was never Big Al nice. Play it in good health! Best of leg breakings at the NYE gig.

Welcome!
That Big Al looks great and I am sure it sounds even better.
And it is a rare, early alder model.

I am curious abaout how you like it after giggin with it.
