I'm More Impressed With My SR5 Every Gig

I've got to tell you, every time I use my Stingray 5 on a gig I'm more impressed. I have a beautiful Blue Dawn SR5 with a maple fretboard and it just plain gets the job done! We play classic rock, some modern country and some dance stuff and it covers all the bases. I always bring another bass (P or J bass) as a backup but end up playing the SR5 most of the night. The playability and tone are incredible! I heard several comments the last two nights on how great my bass tone was. That really makes it all worthwhile!

That pretty much sums up my experience over the past few years. I am happier today than I was when I first fell for the SR5. Great bass from a great company.

yeah, I know what you're saying:) I really loved my musicman, but when I played it live for the first time.... heaven on earth

I have not played mine live yet but I did just recently use it at practice with my regular band. WOW!!! We play slightly hard Prog Rock and the tone of the SR5 is perfect. None of us in the band have ever heard a bass that asserts itself so well but does not overwealm. Suffice to say, my Grendel is not going to need many string changes in the future.

In every setting I play the SR5 too gets it done where none other has in the past. Even with Bongo lust I can still get my gigs done with it and smile all the while. Heck I hate finishing a gig with it. It sure sounds good. More guys want my bass than they do my wife LOL.

I only have two basses now: my SR5 and my Bongo5HH with peizo bridge. I have to say the only time they EVER sound bad is due to operator error.
