So, what you're saying is.. I had you at "Hello".. if I'd only said "Hello"

:D
It sounded impressive, I'm going to go into the local electronics store and say exactly what you said. I'll be like a god to those nerds. :D

They will probably point you in the direction of the nearest computer store

I wanted to say Tandy or Dick Smith, but I wasn't sure if many people would know what I was talking about.

Colin,

I understood you up to "Tandy or Dick Smith"....
:D

The kind of geek you find at a retail outlet probably doesn't know squat about writing code. We're a dying breed. These kids today.. sheesh! They couldn't tell a bit shift right from an exclusive or... they couldn't load a function number into the AX register and call int 11h...

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.. the kind who understand binary code and the kind who don't.

Tom, I'm impressed that someone still writes FORTRAN code!

Lazybite, if you really don't get it:

The value '2' as you know it (in decimal or base-10) is expressed as '10' in binary (or base-2) numbering. Therein lies the joke.

counting in binary: (from decimal 1 to 10.. leading zeroes included)

I'll just say, I work on a lot of legacy code, mostly FORTRAN with some Jovial and Assembly. ;)

Binary Arithmetic is so fun:

0011 + 0010 = 0101

I like Base 2, no hanging chads.

Fun when you start looking for such things as LSB = 2^-16 on a regular basis.

I'm happy about multiple identities, but I promise to behave! :p

The guy is a Kook! Think of his poor mother!

When he signs up, I'm assuming he needs a legitimate email address to activate his newest identity. Is it always the same email address? If it is, give it to us and we can reroute our junk mail to him! Mass mailing at its best!!!!! :D
