Yeah. Poor, Lewis. He's had a fantastic rookie season regardless of how the rest of his season goes, which, I assume, will be very good. I guess stuff like this happens to everyone. The U.S. commentators were speculating that Raikkonen ran out of fuel.

Happy for Mark Webber.

I never thought about that and I can't recall it being mentioned by the British commentators - but hell yeah, the car certainly had the symptoms of running out of fuel, or was there some of that "mysterious white powder" in the fuel, which was supposedly put in the fuel earlier in the season by a spy to stymie Ferrari's chances

I think it was hydraulic failure that did for Kimi. Far too many rumours going around about spying and espionage. Mind you, it's such a high value sport nowadays people will try anything I suppose.

I heard hydraulic failure/electrical failure - I guess it's mere conjecture and we will never know the truth - I hadn't thought about lack of fuel though - it isn't the first time someone runs out of fuel and I guess it wont be the last - seems strange to run out of fuel though with all the telemetry info beamed back to the pit.
It was a good race but I was hoping that Jenson Button would have shone in the wet conditions - he's a great driver who deserves a break.

Yeah. I read about the hydraulic failure story after my post. Who knows? I doubt we'll ever know what's really the truth unless it really is as simple as the hydraulic failure.

Our commentator and ex F! racer Martin Brundle thought it was hydraulic failure too - he's a great commentator who provides great technical info during a race.

Has anybody out there driven a racing car. I drove a Formula Ford around Thruxton - 8loody amazing day out !!

Sorry to hijack this thread

Hmmmm, all the Mesa's i've played have had terrible cleans with my AL, just not suited i guess, mostly the ultra powerful heads. I need to try more of the Mesa combos.

I run my AL through a DC3 Combo with extension cab and the cleans sound wicked. Dusted off the Fender Twin over the weekend and gigged with it. Have to say I prefer the Boogie with AL which surprised me. Doesn't do my back in either !!

That's the thing that surprised me too! - it's lighter than my Marshall which is smaller in size.

I'm glad you think the AL sounds great through it - mine does too:D

I haven't but a buddy of mine who was a huge Villineuve fan went to racing school in Montreal ages ago. The cars were similar to the F3000s.
On the F1 note (not the guitar or pics ) My son's name is Ayrton and I met Montoya a few years ago!

Not mant people with the name of Ayrton.
I wanted to call my first son Ryland (after Ry Cooder) my wife wouldn't let me!!
So I called him Ryan, which became a very popular name a few years later when a Welsh Football (soccer) player made a big name for himself.

What's this about you being on a "promise" with your wife if you bought a certain black guitar? - she'd have to model it for us in some matching black attire
