ekb16b yeah of course I wish I could have kept them but the 25th's are so sick that I have zero regrets, I'm a grey beard ( 61 ) so I've had my share of basses and the 25th's are the best I've ever had, and of course I lost my mind many moons ago, I think it was in '68 or '69!!

DaddyFlip I special ordered the Bongo so it was never on the site, I can't imagine selling it, you're right I really do have it made, I'm lucky to have two 25th's and a BFR Bongo. I'm stuck on 5 bangers so I figure I'll have to buy a used SR5 and strip it, then have it repainted for me to have a fiesta red, not to mention the GAS fund is empty right now.

Thanks to you both, later, Rick

These basses you have are the prettiest I have ever seen put together.

My guilt feeling is increasing day by day as everytime I play my Bongo and/or my Red translucent Ray I imagine them communicating with me saying something like.... "when your new 25th Rosso Veneziano arrives you are not going to play us anymore are you, bad boy?"

Let's wait and see...

Thanks GW, they do go well together, I just played the new HH last night and I'm completely blown away by it, you're in for a major delight when you get your HSS, the 25th's are really on a new threshold for MM. You really can sense the culmination of their different components wrapped up in one bass. And the passive tones are incredible also.
Just convey to your two soon to be semi retired basses, that you will be giving them more rest time. Good luck staying busy while in your countdown mode.

So now my summer bass sell off is behind me, painful as it was to let go of some beauties, but at least some stayed in the forum family. But this is the end result and I'm freaking pumped. The Bongo neck profile does it for me and these three are a tonefest. I'm looking forward to A/B'ing the two HH's. These three are certified keepers, thats for sure. Props to BP and crew for building such iconic basses, and my thanks to Sean. Brandt and James at TPB, for their over the top buying experience, the new HH 25th makes number 7 with you guys.

Thanks my left coast brethren, I got them one by one and it's like they were built together, I'm really fortunate.
