i recently bought a 3eq stingray and am scared it wont sound as good as a 2eq stingray and im scared it wont have the stingray sound i love so much ie kim deal's sound and eric wilson of sublime

can i get the stingray sound on a 3eq?! the same as a 2eq?!

didnt mean to come off as a spammer

those three threads were different though but around the same kinda subject

i was wondering whether or not the two were different, when i got the impression they were i asked if i could acheive the same sound on both and i also asked on a different thread who owned what

didn't mean to come off as a spammer, sorry if i did, wont happen again

also

i thought about it and they DO have the SAME PICKUP just a different preamp and i do believe it is completely possible to get all the 2eqs sounds on the three, the other way around though...

If it helps, I'm also a big fan of Kim Deal. And a three band SR4 nails her tone perfectly. You've just got to use a pick, keep the eq flat with a little bass boost.

Not to be a stick in the mud but if you already purchased the 3eq isn't it kind of a moot point? :confused:

Have not heard the 2eq but I have a 3eq and it sounds great. Anyway, best of luck and you can't go wrong with a EBMM!!! :)

yeah i bought it but it hasn't arrived yet lol

i know it sounds good i tried it out before, never had enough time to get the eqs set up and i know what that thing is capable of and it has allways been my favorite bass so i saved up money and bought it!

I'm sure you will be very happy with it. I was a little nervous when I got the 3eq SR4 but I am real glad that I did, it is a great bass :)
