Hey all...

I got my new Sterling about 2 months ago, and i've been playing it like crazy since then! I had my first live gig last friday with my baby and wow, it rocked litterally the place! I got LOTS of good comments about my Sterling sound out of the PA! I'm just totally in love with this bass!!! WOW!

I'm running my sterling into: - ABY morley switch (for my other bass), into a sonic research turbo tuner, then into a RBI Sansamp Preamp, then strait into the PA... I finally found THE tone I love! I used my ampeg amp on stage as a monitor...

And on Sunday, i got a rehearsal with my other band, and we made a quick recording of it, and everybody was in love with my bass tone!!! I'll try to post a quick song of that rehearsal....
Edit: See below, i've posted a link......

So, I just want to say Thanks BP, and thanks EBMM for the great instruments.... You are simply the best!!!

Thanks again!
Vincent

Vincent, you are clearly in love with that bass :D

Now tell me, are you really ginormous, like about 8 feet tall, or is that a 1/2 scale Sterling you're playing? It just looks a bit small on you ;)

Well, I agree, it looks little a bit??? But it's sounds BIGGG... I'm 6'2 225lbs, so not so big....

Thanks

Very nice!

My band was thinking of adding "Blow at High Dough" to the set list. Good to know it goes over well.

Go for this song my friend!!! It has such a good vibe and intensity!! Good bass intro, mid section and outro.... Very simple to play, and makes you go everywhere on the stage!!!!

Thanks

Hi all,

Here is a song that we've recorded during last sunday rehearsal with my other band (disco band...). It's a one shot recording, so there is some mistakes!!!

Here is the setup:

For my bass, my ball into a RBI SansAmp, then strait into recording console

Drum had 1 mic into the bassdrum, and one overhead mic above drummer's head

guitare had one mic

Keyboard strait into console

And voicie mixed together into console... But we had problems with lead singer voice recording, so we had to dub it... so that why you'll hear 2 voices sometimes...

This is a raw, almost non-mixed recording... And I tell you, i'm impressed.. We did that in my drummer's basement, and it sounds good for a quick 10 minutes recording!!!

I really like my bass tone in this!!!

Any comment??
