Almost everything is now in place so I can chase my dream: I'm moving to London this September to continue my musical studies (BMus in Violin) in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. It's going to need a lot of sacrifices, economically mostly, but not least of all I'll have to leave my Silo and everything else electric guitar-related behind :( I won't sell it until I badly need the money though, I bought that specific guitar because I wanted one that could last me a lifetime and I intend to make that happen :) yet guitar is only my hobby.

Since I've spent quite some time here and we all share the same passion (music), I though I'd share this here. What do you think guys? Wish me luck!

Congrats and good luck, but why cant you take your Silo Special with you?

Because it's not a Silo Special it's a regular Silo ;)

Actually because of baggage space, I'm already taking my violin as hand luggage, and all the cargo space will be needed for clothes etc. Plus I don't think I'll have time for it, I'll be quite full with my violin classes, baroque violin, composition, etc plus working if I can to help pay my expenses. Maybe if things turn out to be easier I can ask someone visiting me to bring it.

Thanks to all. I'll try to keep ya posted :)

Guitars come and go but not opportunities like this. Congrats and well done in getting in as the competition for places is pretty fierce.

You'll love living in London and let me know if you need any info/help (as the missus works about 300 yards from Guildhall).

Are you arriving in the UK in September? - if so maybe we could meet up at the Guitar Nation Bash in The Olympia London in November - there will be a few of the UK knuckleheads there.

Thanks WeeGee. I'll be staying in the school's residence so I'll always be close by.

I'd love to make it to a UK bash if my schedule allows.
