So these days I am patiently deciding which EBMM to get. I though long and hard about Silo and Morse and realized I need...WANT one of each.
-One day when I was reading some old posts from this forum, I ran across a clip of Steve Morse demonstrating the new Y2D(yes the one with Pig Papa). In that clip, Steve played the Y2D and 2 of his original models. I'm not sure if it's just me but the Y2D seemed to have better note seperation when compared to the originals(in that clip). Is this one of the tonal difference between the two models? Is the tone same if not similar between the two?
- I really like the tone of the Y2d in that clip. But, some people on this forum stated that extra single coil pickup on the regular Morse to be a "secret/hidden weapon". Since Y2D does not come with that extra single coil, I am torn between the two. I would like to go out and test drive them both, but I am not in a position(location) to do that. Owner of Y2D or Regular MOrse owners... oh and to be owners, which one should I order? If you can only have one model, which would it be? and why???
THanks, David
