So as some of you guys already know, I picked up my first EBMM Silhouette guitar yesturday. It is an amazing vintage sunburst color. So when I played it yesturday for the first time, I fell in love with it instantly. The sounds coming out of the thing are amazing, and the feel is unlike anything I have played before. The only thing was that there was a whole bunch of buzzing everywhere. However that is probably natural with the traveling and all. But I wanted to change the string gauge to 10's anyway. So I DID that like couple hours ago. And  , I was freakin amazed that I did not have to do ANY set up after that, JUST tighten the tremolo claw for the thing to be sitting on the body properly. I checked the intonation, that was pretty much perfect, and some thing with the action and truss rod. It is as if these guys KNEW I was gonna set it up with 10's. NO buzzing WHATSOEVER, with a perfect action just the way I like it. This thing is INCREDIBLY versetile. Just PERFECT for pretty much everything. The OTHER thing I have to do is change the volume nobs from the top hats to the black domes. Probably gonna have to order from EB, since I want it to be EBMM THROUGHOUT. HOWEVER, my ONLY CONCERN is the nut. I'm not sure wether it is cut too deep or not. It might be a little bit, because when I put on the 10's, the LOW E string is touching the board PAST the nut. It does not seem to be digging in to it, but I CAN NOT slide a sheet of paper under it. The other strings seem to be fine. Is this something I should be concerned about at all??? And concerning that, have any of you guys had problems with this at all, and do the nut slots wear out at some point (how long)?

Where on the fret board is the buzzing going on? Believe me, it is MUCH easier to set up these AWESOME MM's rather than some other brand with a floating bridge. This is the FIRST time I set up the MM, and overall my 2nd set up EVER. By the way which guitar do you have? i'm guessing also a Silo?

Maybe you can try raising the action a bit to see if the buzzing goes away and a little bit more relief. My measurment at 12th fret is about 1.4mm. And by the way what I asked before in general, when you put the 10's on the Silo, is the low E touching the edge of the fretboard behind the nut (towards headstock)?

i just ran upstairs to look at mine and there is at least a credit card amount of space, so its not touching the headstock on mine....thats weird that it is on yours, maybe the nut is too big on that six string? dunno :(
