I'm new to this side of the tracks... I mean forum. Played electric bass for 20+ years, but haven't done much for the last 10 years or so.
Anyway, thinking of making a go of it again and did the 3 hour round trip to the closest GC this weekend just to see what's out there these days.
Ended up bringing these 2 Sterlings home. The HH just had it's "sale" tag printed and wasn't even out on the floor yet. The Ray4 was hiding in the used section for a good price. Ended up buying both.
I had a Ray34ca (?) years ago that I really liked, but it was a boat anchor, and I ended up selling it. I've still got a collection of basses, but no other MM style until now.
I'm old, retired, and on a budget so I didn't want to spend much. So far, I'm quite happy with these...
