Hi folks,

Anyone use any these? I have a JP6 which is in its case whenever not in use, but the humidity in the room (which I can not control) is somewhere around 20% this time of year. I think there is a tiny bit of shrinkage in the neck, as I feel fret ends ever so slightly, when I hadn't noticed any before.

Any comments on these types of humidifiers - seems to me there's a risk they might make things a bit too humid. Or should I just wait it out and find that when the warmer weather (and humidity) returns, the wood will "swell" back to its former size and the slight fret ends will disappear?

Your comments and advice are appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi Jbert - you could try one of those humidifiers that they use in cigar cases, and put a small hygrometer in the case to monitor the humidity - it should be around 50% inside the case.

There are several guitar companies that make humidifiers for acoustics too, you could try just keeping one of those in the case.
