I'll be playing this for a gig Saturday -- went looking on youtube for a live performance -- there were many good ones - this one jumped out at me.

GREAT 5 string playing and sound from Tony Levin, in addition to everything else. I'm happy to have a SR5 so I can at least get some of that tone ... !

I also play a lot of fretless, and I love the way TL gets a fretless feel on the fretted bass. Learn something new every day!

I agree, it's a beautiful song and the bassline really compliments it (which is what you'd expect from such a great player).

It's interesting to watch him -- a lot of time what sounds like slap/pop is finger-style with a sharp attack, taking advantage of the SR5's sensitivity.

He also does a good job of keeping things solid under Manu Katche's syncopated drumming.

That song in Tony's hands is a master class!
