Hey-

Just snagged what looks like a great quilted Axis in trans blue from a GC used gear online. Anyway, the sales guy sent me this photo of the frets - and it looks to me like they are jumbos - not the thin vintage sized frets the Axis usually comes with.

Am I right, do these look like the stock frets? With so little wear, I would think they are newer than the guitar.

Thanks.

Really hard to tell without them being measured. Have the guy break out a ruler. Or find a tech at the store that knows something.

The guitar arrives today, so I guess I'll check it out myself tonight!

I got the guitar last night - more trans Teal than blue. It has a quilted top, and birds eye neck - so I'm thinking it's older.
Frets are definitely stock!

Anyway, aside from a few minor dings on the back and side, this guitar looks like it was played for a few months in the first few frets (cowboy chords only), and then put away - it's really clean. The neck feels just like the EVH I sold a year ago - like butta!

I'll post some photos when I clean up the tremolo and get it set up!
