Yes, mine was rare and collectible, but it sold for a nice price and has gone to someone who will play it more than me. Not much call for Steinberger sound in blues bands or a Pink Floyd tribute show

Good to see there's someone aside from me who is not too sentimental about gear. I've offloaded a heap over the years and despite some of it now being worth a bomb (mainly guitard rather than bass related) I just don't care about that whole vintage thing. I mean I love it, but don't need to be part of it. I can get my vintage kicks out of newer repro stuff that doesn't matter if it gets stolen or damaged.
But back to the topic, Mark, let us know how that dual HH deals with the stuff that you formerly reserved for your dual pickup Leo-oid basses. I have only tried the HH once in a shop (it was a Ball Family Reserve) and there was a sweet J-type sound from one of the positions that I really liked.
I'm now wishing I pulled the trigger on that burst bass of yours.

Richard, there's a burst HS on the bay at the moment, currently sitting on $910. I emailed the seller and he's willing to ship for $125, which if he stands by his word is a good deal, depending on where the final bidding ends.
