Hi All;

Returning to the EB/MM camp after a few months romancing another couple of instruments that didn't quite work out (endorsement deal that along with the band involved, I won't get into). Anyway, with much gratitude to Peter DuBaldo (I hope I am spelling that correctly), I am getting a like new loaded JP6 in Mystic Dream. this will be my first JP, having only used the Axis and Luke models previously (which I loved).

I'll post some pictures as it arrives, and hopefully some clips with my new band in the not too distant future.

Any words of wisdom regarding the JP6?

You made an AWESOME choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get a direct box w/ ground lift (for any noise issues running the piezos and the magetic pickups at the same time) and an acoustic amp to get the most out of that bad boy. You're gonna LOVE it!!!

Thanks guys. I can't wait to get it, and I definitely will play the snot out of it (I actually hope that there isn't any snot involved, but being a used guitar, you never know). It is funny, I just got a Boogie Mark 5. I have heard a ton of stuff that Petrucci has done with that amp, and with this guitar, and I have loved the tone. It was coincidental that I ended up with both (I got the Boogie when I was using PRS guitars and another one that I was going to be endorsing, but it sucked), but I am glad I did. I can't wait to get working with that sucker.

Oh, and if that endorsement thing sounded pretentious, it wasn't meant to be; it was a nothing deal based on some stuff with a band I am no longer a part of. I am a nobody, just like 99% of guitar players out there, LOL.

BTW, any particular acoustic amps that you guys love? I was going to just run the piezo out to the P.A., but if you guys think an acoustic amp might work better, I am all ears.
