So Mike you have it yet??? Would love some thoughts on it:)

I do indeed. It was delivered around 3 today but it's a bit cold here so I left it boxed for several hours while I helped my daughter setting up her nursery for expecting grandchild #1

Fast forward to 9 pm..great guitar neck is marvelous, quality is spectacular . For those apprehensive of the finished neck , it is a very thin satin you can hardly tell its there, it's delightful . Stainless steel frets feel amazing

Plug in test to follow

Will post some pictures later - but wanted to add - the Sweetwater photographs are very, very color accurate. And this whole guitar is very vibrant and alive!! Love that

Mikeller, like you I have a silo special, in fact I have a couple...how would you compare it to the silo, Im really interested in this guitar with a HB in the bridge, hopefully sooner than later but congrats, great looking guitar with the rosewood board!

Assuming your are talking about the neck - similar. The Cutlass feels like it has a very slight V shape in the lower registers fading nicely to C shape. Although spec's are the same - the Cutlass neck feels like it is very slightly wider.

The satin finish is delightful - very thin and smooth. And the stainless steel frets are amazing!

Finally was able to plug in the Cutlass on Sunday eve and did want to report back to you all. The neck is delightful to play on - smooth and very comfy. The guitar sounds terrific, very pristine SSS tones and the buffered output seemed to eliminate tone roll off with volume backed off. Very pleased!!!!

I agree, Stratty! Pretty darn sure that's what I'm going with.

That's where I'm leaning as well, though I know when it shows up I KNOW my wife is gonna say, "you already have a white guitar! Did you really need another white one?"

I have not told my wife about it yet. I anticipate some serious eye rolling! Thankfully she's pretty great about this guitar obsession.
It's funny, I was set on the white cutlass from the moment I first saw it but it was the video on the EBMM website with the gentleman playing the black cutlass that threw the curveball! The guitar looked & sounded so good!

I can't wait mikeller! Glad you really digging it! If you don't mind me asking, what amp did you run the cutlass into?

I have a Mesa Electra-Dyne head and an Express 5:50 head that I pair with either a Mesa Royal Atlantic 1x12 wide cab or a Recto vertical 2x12 cab.

I have only plugged into the Express 5:50/Royal Atlantic combination so far...tonight I hope to plug into my main rig which is the Electra-Dyne/Recto cab.

...still waiting for personal pics.....
...tick...

:)

I will try to take some tonight. The lighting in my house is very conducive to horrible pictures. Sweetwater gave me pictures of my actual guitar which are really spot-on in clarity and color, my attempts pale in comparison.

Here is a close up in the meantime:
