Just an aside on the string gauge, I play both 10's and 9's, just depends on the guitar. 10's feel totally wrong on certain guitars for me and vice versa. Don't put too much merit into only sticking with a certain gauge for all guitars necessarily.
The beauty of having different guitars includes how you react to it with some experimentation, strings being a large factor. Let your hair down (for those that still have it) and really feel what the guitar is telling you. You might be pleasantly surprised realizing that a different gauge feels more appropriate.
BTW, picks are the same way. Experimentation can be key. I just recently picked up some Red Bear picks…huge difference.
