Thanks for all the comments. Although I’ve only had about an hour playing it last night, mostly unplugged (as the daughter was sleeping),

Initial thoughts are it’s a fantastic guitar, like all MM. I had a quick AB against my 20th Silo and it seems louder acoustically and like the 20th Silo, it was very comfortable to play. The most striking thing about the GR is that it’s incredibly light (which is surprising for a Mahogany bodied guitar). I won’t comment just yet on the sound through an amp as I haven’t played it long or loud enough yet (but you just know it's going to be great :D)

Like a lot of you, I wouldn’t normally go for a gold guitar but when I saw the Gold Roller at LIMS, it sounded great, it looked fantastic and it’s different!! The best advice I can give is see one in the flesh as none of the pictures do the guitar justice.

I’ll try and get some simple sound clips (hopefully over the weekend) to compare the GR against the 20th Silo.

So who’s next to join the Gold Roller club?

Congrats, awesome score! Those Gold Rollers really got me thinking lately, especially since I have my 20th...so, I'm really looking forward to a proper A/B comparison.

Awesome. But why the mounting rings on the pick ups? The coolest thing about EBMM is the direct pick up mounting, it's almost part of EBMM signature thing, it's cool tonewise and cosmetically. That's the only thing I don't like about this guitar.

Congrats!

I admit, I never really got the GR (though thought it looked really cool). When I got to play Pete's ... blown away. Thick & juicy. But light as a feather ... the weight is so deceiving.

Yep amazing tones and the light weight is a winner for me, especially right now with my elbow and back issues. The more you play the more you should love it and it is a different beast from a 20th.

Right now its is a small club, Pete D. has his which is no.1, I recieved mine back at the beginning of September, which is no.2 and now yours, no.3, i hope to see a few more originals, worth every dollar:D
