Hi everyone, so I did a little loudness with my music man majesty and it has a bit of a "crackling" sound when I get to a certain position.
is it possible to use a deoxit (d5 for example) to clean the contacts?
sorry for the stupid question but this is the first time I do this. do you need to remove the black knob to do this or can you spray it directly into the pot housing (by accessing from the back of the guitar)?
I also wanted to make sure that these products do not damage the push push mechanism
thank you all

the closer you get it to the point of contact, the better. Don't use much, just a little bit. Let it sit for a couple minutes, then move the switch back and forth to clear the grime. After that you should be good to go

Ok thank you. I'll try. these pot push push are a bit different from normal and I'm not sure where the contact point is.

I usually find the little hole on the back of the pot or where the contacts are. Spray some in and turn until it goes away.
