Oh wow, so sorry to hear about the injury. It really sucks that it will significantly affect your ability to play. Those are some INSANE guitars you have. My daily drivers are a Steve Morse and an Ibanez RG652AHMFX (hardtail). Just love hardtail super strats. Those dark lord guitars have always interested me though. Do they have the same pickups as the regular Morse guitars?

The three pickups in the Y2Ds, including the Dark Lords, are the same as the "regular" Morses - DP-205 humbucker by the truss rod adjusting wheel, Proprietary single coil in the middle, DP200 Humbucker by the bridge.

Of course the Y2D is missing the DP-108 "slanted single coil" as found on the "regular" Morse.

I believe all are made by DiMarzio (Larry being a good buddy of Steve's), but the "proprietary single coil" used on the "regular Morse" might be made by EBMM?!

From the specs I read them as being made by Dimarzio, probably only available on the Morse guitars, as they are designed specifically to be right next to the bridge pickup. The Y2D of course gets the fancy ones with the Gold Morse logo. I had thought about a Y2D years ago, but honestly I love flipping all the switches to get different sounds, and I think I'd miss the "extra" single coil in the middle.
