Input Jack Problems

So I belive the input jack on my Bongo 5 is loose. If you move the cable(and I've tried
a few) around you get the crackle that I've heard with a Fender Jazz I own. With the Jazz I could just tighten the bolt on the outside but I'm not sure how to fix this on my Bongo. I'm wondering if this is something I can do myself or if I should send it to ebmm.

There is a nut on the inside. Take the cover off the back of the bass, and you will see the nut that needs to be tightened. Keep me posted.

An Update

I took the cover off and saw the nut was loose so I tightened it and now there is no crackling sound. So I think everything is fine now. I feel a little stupid not opening the bass open first before asking but I'm glad it's fixed. Thanks for your help Jon!

Heh--never feel stupid for asking questions before opening control cavitites.

I'm just glad that's all it was. I would hate to be without my Bongo for a while. I have quite a few other basses but the Bongo rules the roost. I guess you could say I've been spoiled by the Bongo. It's just too dang powerful and has such a sweet(and I do mean sweet as sugar)tone for any style I play.
