Charlie Hunter is just insanely good.

John Mayer doesn't do it too much for me, though. I like his playing, but it's a whole lotta cheese sometimes.

Great vid, Rob, thanks.

"... not being afraid to go up against the wall of what you don't know." Brilliant.

Have you checked out the John Mayer Trio CD ? ITs nothing like his other stuff with the exception of 1-2 songs. Worth a listen if you haven't heard it.

I bought the John Mayer Trio CD just before Christmas (on the sale rack for $10).

You are right....it's a great CD.....great guitar playing by Mayer.

Thanks for that Rob!
John wasn't my favourite person at first. I actually find him a tad strange.
But I guess that makes him perfect for being famous! :p
But I will admit he's really growing on me. He is very talented and knows what to do for music as a business.
As a blues guitarist I think he really rocks.
Sure he's not an original, but great none the less.

Well, i'm no huge Mayer fan, but i'd rather listen to him than the rest of the crap we are subjected to constantly, like Nickleback, Hinder etc, and all that US rock/rap or so called "R&B" garbage. Mayer does nice classy guitar work and writes listenable tunes, not to many frontmen/guitarists doing that at his level out there.

+1!

I hate Nickelback, Canadian or not, they suck! Just my humble opinion.
