Hi all,

I was wondering if some of the europeans here have any experiences buying a new EBMM guitar in the U.S ? or perhaps experiences with buying a used Guitar from ebay?

Best regards,

 I think EBMM would have their hands full trying to control the second-hand Music Man market... They'd probably have to hire Hell's Angels to go around to sellers' houses and knock heads, 'cause I don't think they'd have any legal power to prevent anyone from selling their guitar to whom ever they wish, where ever they lived...

Based on the facts that EBMM are great tools ....... and people who had them in the first place are testifying that they wont move to other companies
as you can read here ....... you can assume that those who are selling old EBMM
are gonna buy a new EBMM instead , and not something else , so like i said the second hand buyers are those who cant join this family unless they are buying it cheaper

Hi Tim,

I am mostly curios about:
1. if it is posible to buy new or ebay from outside the US.
2. what the hidden cost is ? I guess that differs from country to country. ie more expensive here in DK because of our high vat and told. But basically the US prices seem to be alot lower the then european prices. I am trying to figure out if it makes sense to buy in the US (not posible I saw) or on ebay (seems posible).

Thanks for the reply.

It's not possible for a US based dealer to sell EB products including Music Man instruments internationally without losing their dealer agreement with EB. This includes dealer sales on eBay, through email, etc.

It is possible to buy on Ebay from a US seller, if they are happy to ship to you. It is not possible to mail order a new EBMM from the US as dealers are not allowed to do this.

The only hidden costs are shipping and taxes. Shipping normally costs approx £150 UPS or Fedex, and taxes and duty can be up to £200 or so. If you are 'creative' with the commercial invoices the tax and duty can be reduced a great deal!
