Back on the forum and I have to :
- thank Jack for answering my question and giving me the basic rules of intonation;
- admit that I'm a semi-wanker as I play as much over the 12th fret than below;
- tell Jon (just in cas it was not clear) that I was not seriously angry about the non-answering or threatening him in anyway (I would be a real a** if I did that), I just was following Andrew's joke and the infos of another thread where Jon was explaining what happend during that guitar meeting he was involved in last week.
Please dont get me wrong, I'm a semi-wanker playing over the 12 th fret, not a selfish sh****d.

Think it might have been description of the coloquial diffrerences between use of certain terminology?
Didn't mean to offend (in fact thought it was fairly innocuous), but a PM in my shell like would have been nice, to explain at least.

You know I just don't understand what the tension was about... the guy asked a question. Hoped for an answer. Several tried to help, and then I see someone take what the orginal poster posted very seriously... they posted a rant themselves.. and now a deleted post??
Seriously guys, we all love our axes... does it need to be more complicated than this? Even if the guy wants to have as close to perfect intonation as possible is it really that much of an issue to help him out?
I had an intonation problem with my Bongo, it's still not perfect but at least it's good now. I managed this by following the EB specs and intonating at the 17th fret as someone here suggested.
Now I have pure sweetness... well until my fingers touch the strings anyway.
