Here she is! Right out of the box she plays and sounds awesome! Didn't even need a set up. She weighs 10lbs even. More info and pics to come. JOY! :D

What I said out loud when I saw the pics: "Oh, yeah; that's nice!"

CONGRATULATIONS!

True dat.

First Fretless Al I've seen, first 5 string Al I've seen, and first H Al I've seen (apart from those torture threads...) Nice!

You must have missed bovinehost's thread entitled: "Hit the Deck! Incoming!"

He was the first to receive a Big Al 5; an SSS model.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I just got done playing it for about 30 minutes and then my son had to go to bed. Man does it sing. The tonal possibilities are incredible with the series/parallel switch combined with the 4 band e.q. I also love the active passive switch.
All the strings are well balanced in output volume. And the B string surprized me. I have been a 35" scale guy for years now and I didn't think I would like the sound of a 34" B anymore. But the 34" scale was more comfortable to play.
Can't wait to try it out on my Ampeg SVT 610 HLF in the morning. I think there is going to be some minor tremors recorded in the N.E. area of the country.

But the 34" scale was more comfortable to play.

The fretless 5-string that I recently sold had a 35" scale. Not long after purchasing it I came to the conclusion that I would have preferred a 34" scale fretless 5-string.

I guess that means another EBMM...

Now which model should I get next as a fretless 5-string...hmmm...

Nice one!

I love the unlined fretboard!
My intonation on these is bad to say the least, but it looks way cooler than the lines.

And aren't looks what matter most? ;)

Have fun with it!

I'm still missing a fretless EBMM.

I am the opposite I can't own a lined fretless. I get really confused while playing live and looking down at the side of the fretboard and seeing the lines and then the dots in the center of the frets. Plus by having an unlined fingerboard it keeps me on my toes. It also makes playing boring cover songs like "What I like about you" interesting.
