Oh, fretless Big Als are just SO right!! I'd LOVE to see that with that gold swirl p/g they offered last year.

Yeah, now looking at the other pics, that's a nice tort guard. I didn't like the one that came w/my 'Ray 5H; too dark, hardly any "figure"/color in it.

I would also like to see a gold swirl guard on it as well. But I really do like the tort guard that is on it now.

Here she is! Right out of the box she plays and sounds awesome! Didn't even need a set up. She weighs 10lbs even. More info and pics to come. JOY!

This brings me to a theory about the Big Al. Did Big Poppas crew design it to look good when you are playing and not to look good when hanging on the wall?
I remember that my first reaction when seeing on at a music store was not really positive. Then I saw a video somewhere on youtube a few months later and though "That bass player has an awesome looking bass, hey wait a minute... that a Big Al!"
You pictures proves my personal theory. That Bass looks great. Now I cant wait for the Grand Wazoo to get his and post some pictures as thats the color combo I'm thinking of

So what's the verdict on the Big AL H? Does it capture the old school Musicman vibe? The thought of traditional EBMM sound + modern pre amp makes me giddy
