PghTopCat is a new member here... he's the singer in my band, and a guitard as well. We've been writing original songs together on and off for over a decade.

I also con him into buying any gear that I'm looking to unload. :D (That's HIS story, anyway!)

Show him a little mercy until he gets his feet wet, eh? :D

Ahh, nevermind.. in the words of Chef from "South Park"... FUDGE'IM

:D :D :D

Did I mention that PghTopCat has no Balls?

Give him the fogman treatment!

(TopCat: by this, we mean that you don't own any Ernie Ball Music Man guitars. Well, that's what the rest of the forum members mean by it, anyway...)

I'm concerned that you had this 'readily available'. This is not something a normal person has in their arsenal of funny intrawebnet pictures.

I hope you get the help you need Raz. Remember, admitting you have a problem is the first step.

monster,

I see where you're coming from, but PghTopCat doesn't buy guitar strings. He's got an acoustic guitar whose strings are older than some of our forum members.

He doesn't buy guitar picks, either. He simply takes mine. Last year I had a gross (144) of picks made with my signature on them. I'll bet PghTopCat has 20 of them.

I'm surprised that he finally showed up here. I've been talking up EBMM and this forum for a year now. He's one of those self-employed computer consultant types, so you know he does very little actual work..

:D :D :D

See you tonight, TopCat.

Those must be some quality strings. Were they originally built by NASA for some aerospace needs? ;)

Ah so he's one of these then:

Word of the Day for Friday October 14, 2005
sinecure \SY-nih-kyur; SIN-ih-\, noun:
An office or position that requires or involves little or no responsibility, work, or active service.

I was fortunate to receive the. . . offer, which in practical terms was a sinecure.
--David Freeman, One of Us

Julian Poe, a wealthy old Estonian, offers what looks like a sinecure: Bennett will live in comfort in Monte Carlo and pretend to be Poe, thus enabling Poe to fulfill his residency requirement in Monte Carlo while continuing to live in Provence without paying French taxes.
--"Eat, Drink and Be Wary," New York Times, June 9, 1996

When they married, Pu Yi was, officially, employed as a gardener at the Peking Botanical Gardens. In fact this sinecure. . . only lasted three years, during which time he did very little actual gardening.
--"Obituary: Li Shuxian," Independent, June 11, 1997
Just substitiute his name and position in any of these fine examples!

Alrighty then,

I dont have a lot of time, (since I have to be back on the couch for my late afternoon nap). It turns out I was awakened once again by an annoying client wanting me to actually work for a living and answer their silly questions. This career really gets in the way of my quality of life sometimes.

Anyhow,
As Steve so eloquently put it, I have, in the past neglected my string and pick duties. But, Steve should be the first to point out that this is a past phenomenom as I have lately been buying up everything musical I can get my hands on. Including a wide assortment of pics.

I did however, for the record, just go and check my little pic collection and, sure enough, there is a Bloomquist series signature pick in there :)

OK,

Well,

Last and finally,

I DO HAVE EB strings on my IBANEZ!!!

PghTopCat,

I will concede that you have finally started buying gear this year if you will admit to having more than one of my signature picks. :D

Have a good time here, my friend, and get to know the good folks who spend time in these data streams.
