Guess what? Ididnt post or ask for suggestions....i introduced the line.
But the thing that gets me a little peeved is that I have said that this is a hijack. I have said it is a done deal and I still get this BS.

Entitlement is assuming because you own a bass by posting a short video that I was asking or wanting an extra opinion.

Guess what -- I didn't ask either ;) There will be no charge.

Guess what? I have said many times that I think the name sucks. IT wasnt my idea. IT was Guitar Center's.....seriously. THey are the most powerful entity in our industry and I have found in my focus sessions (aka the voices in my tiny head) that if they are happy I drive a nicer car.

The high-volume channels have a lot of power. I can only imagine the joy when you have to negotiate price with GC. I think I am the only guy on these boards to express that I didn't think you guys picked the best name for the line -- and sounds like you feel that way too but when GC is dangling the keys to a pinkburst Cadillac in front of you, well...I understand...

Made in Cali I really donht think that you would like to see any success...but if I'm wrong and misread your intentions starting with your handle and posts then stick around and tell a joke or something.

You have misread me: I haven't made a single critical comment about EB/MM products -- I've owned and played my Sterling for years and play EB Pinks and ONLY EB Pinks on my gits. I voiced my disappointment that EB/MM has to go overseas to source its products so that it can be competitive. That doesn't mean I don't want the line to be successful. I hope the economy improves though -- introducing a new line in this climate is gonna be tough.

these endless discussions .... :)

Can we see pics of the new Sterling-line from NAMM? Did I miss them, are they somewhere already?

Thanks!

Hey the Park family said that the Sterling line went nuts at the NAMM show. From GC down to the Croations. The response was fabulous and they are very happy.

Small Mom and Pop stores that had been forced to drop our line due to price were able to order the parks offerings.

Pretty good for a poor name! My pals gave me a pretty hard time about the name and my ego. It was all good!

I want to hire madeincali for marketing advice.

You just got me in trouble ! :D

I'm at work and read the above. I had been a bit anxious about how well the line would go over out there. After reading this, I yelled out "yay!".

My office mates were not amused.

They'll get over it. I've already talked to our local GC guitar manager (who I know very well) about the line. I felt like an EB rep. Can't wait for them to get into my hands. I think my excitement transferred....he said he'd be picking up one too.

I thought they were fantastic and ordered some of each model for store stock. Quality and price are right where they need to be, and I am glad the line was received so well!

He means knock 30% off the retail price. Wich I happen to love!

Edit: I'm not trying to speak for Pete. The prices are better than what I was expecting. Time to get a guitar.

Good prices. hope the quality is as good as we hope.

There is no need to hope! - It's got the name on it - I'd buy one of these mail order without playing it - my top love for this company (Fanboy!) - is that you can buy a new ball, a used ball, a musicman, and now a sterling and I know that any 2 peices will have the same feel, weight and resonance before I plug them in. - other companies I found I had to search for a 'good one' - these I can buy of the shelf!

Agreed. I'd buy a ball blind too. (in fact, I did, a few times) but the Sterling line isn't built by EBMM. I know Korean workmanship can be really good. But I'd like to see for myself first.:D

They certainly look nice. I like how the JP50 trem is much more like the EBMM JP trem then the OLP version which isn't very good (I know, cuz I have one). I may have to check one of these out.

That Axis looks GOOD! But...I thought it would have a vintage trem, more like the ASS. I'd like to pick up one of those, as I'm not a fan of floyds:eek:

After all the arguments about what's called what and its going to do this, that and the other to the company, I would just like to say after seeing the pictures that these guitars look really cool, a lot better than the old OLP stuff.

I'm hoping that they're with the guys from Strings and Things in the UK ready for the London Guitar Show, me and Smellybum could have a duel with those, (Oh yes Smelly I haven't forgotten).

So hopefully after all the shouting I would like to compliment BP on what looks like a really good line of guitars for people who a) Can't afford a US version yet but would like to own one after playing one of these, and b) A good second guitar for a spare or for jamming with your mates.

Hopefully EBMM won't self destruct after unleashing these on the general public and the Sterling line will go from strength to strength along with EBMM range.

Peace, love and good happiness stuff.

I'm sorry I'd forgotten for a moment I'm the Devil.........Burn in hell!
