I do have a question however, thinking of picking up a Silo20...will an EB pickguard fit or is the sizing off?

I'll also officially start the 7 string Sterling bandwagon here... ;)

the outline and size should pretty dead on, but can't guarantee that the screw holes will be exact.

Sorry for the dumb question, it has probably been answered already.

I have a friend that is interested in buying a JP7 (not lefty, what a weirdo). Is there any JP7's in the Sterling series?

Thanks in advance

Hey Edrod,
No seven string guitars yet in the Sterling line up.

Thanks,
Pat

Hello to all, this bing my first post!

I'm really interested in this new line of Sterling guitars/basses, as they will fit my budget nicely. (Read: the wife won't scream ) :D

One problem:

I contacted the Guitar Center near me over at Oxford Valley, PA to ask about when they were getting them in.

The guy in the "guitar dept." had NO IDEA what I was talking about.

He claimed that until they "get an email" they have no knowledge of anything new coming out.
(Unfortunately in my experience with GC, that probably won't change even AFTER "the email")

Is there some way to get the info over to them?

After all, they should know what products they're carrying, especially as I, a Paying Customer, would like to do his bit to help stimulate the economy...:D

we're working with Guitar Center's management and buyers on the Sterling line.

Its probably a little too early to get info from the local GC locations.

You can contact any Music Man dealer in your area and ask them about it A good portion of the current MM dealers do have them on order.

If you need any info on the line, you can download the brochure at our website:

I can answer any questions here, just pm or email me. My email:

Thanks
Pat

Pat,

I have a question. Why did you go with basswood for the Silhouette and Sterling bass instead of the original wood choices alder and ash?

Thanks! :)
