Wow!

I haven't looked in this thread since it started.
Congrats to BP and Pat!
They look like fine instruments to be proud of.

Can't wait 'til these show up in stores around here... I'm in Orange County like Pat Park is so I hope they arrive soon!

No pictures of the problems on the back of the neck? Does the guitar feel cheaper? Where do you think money was saved, labor or parts or both?

Tree fitty? Wow, I wasn't expecting them to be that inexpensive. Very impressive.

They aren't tree five oh. They're tree niner niner. He got a special discount deal on it, 13% off on March 13, which was a Friday. M123 had the deal up for just couple of days. 13% off 399 is 347 I believe, not 350. a lot of people snoozed through that one, and it was announced here.

By the way Amazon.com has the best deal on Sterling by Musci Man (afik) They just don't have any in stock yet, only preorder is available.

Still, that's a great price. I'll have to investigate one for my bass recording needs.

Nice to see them hitting the streets! I'm still waiting for ours, but in the meantime I have hidden a "Golden Ticket" on our website...

grrrrrr. 45 minutes later....searching flutes, accordians....everything and I find no golden ticket. I did find the immunity idol, however, so I'm not getting voted off the island anytime soon.

I found it (and originally posted the link to it ......kicking myself)

Ooops sorry Pete. I'm probably persona non-grata now at DuBaldos.

(sometimes a person should think things through a little better, huh..)

Power Chord hack needs some help . . .

OK . . . help me out here (Pat & other esteemed axe wielding warriors). I am a fairly new player and l must admit loving it. I LOVE BFS (Jaret Redddick) sound and as such started doing my homework on EBMM and other guitar brands. I have been thoroughly impressed with the "rap" EBMM has out there and have actually started a got to have one fund for myself. However I have couple issues:

1. Unlike nearly every other guitar I have said "wow i would like to put my hands on that and feel it", I can't find a EBMM Axis Super Sport (what Jaret plays) any place. Any suggestions for this poor Dayton OH boy on that one??

2. Since I am an immediate gratification kinda guy when it comes to this issue I would LOVE to have a Sterling to prime the EBMM pump even if it means taking longer to get that EB. So is it the Sterling Ax20 that is the most similar?

I have a GC, Sam Ash, and several quality used/vintage stores in the Cinci - Indy - Dayton-Columbus area - they all say oh man we just don't see those here . . . Only one of my dealers had a EB I could put fingers on but flat out told me the last Axis SS he had in stock stayed there for two years before he let it go for a ridiculous cost just weeks before I walked in asking - DAMN IT!)

I am a power chord hack that can barely play, but man I can tell the difference between guitars with my eyes closed now. I LOVED THE EB and I want a AXIS SS (I think but I want to put hands on one first).

Thanks! BTW - the new Sterling's are nothing short of gorgeous.

The Sterlings do indeed look nice, but until there's an SSS 22 fret model, I can only watch.
