I found it in a google search while looking at Big Al stuff.
The last time it was active was with Big poppa's post on 01-15-2009 ....yikes!
Sold my blonde ray on feebay this afternoon...only took 14 short hours and BAM! SOLD!
So all set to pick up my Big Al SSS Next thursday or friday in Bahstin! tick tick tick.

Here is the one I am picking up.
It can go either way in pickguard color.
I am leaning towards using the pearloid white one.

My Candy Red Bongo came with a black guard. It looks very classy, but also disappears in the dark. I put a Cream Pearl guard on it and that's what it's worn ever since.

If you play on stage I'd go for the white one to make the bass "pop" visually.

I agree, I do not play in a band at the moment...have just not had any time to devote to the practices and such.
But I do like the visual of the white one on the dark reds....might kick a little light back up onto that beautiful redish rosewood board too...hahaha!! bonus :)

The white pick guard really does it for me.

I'm getting a Big Al Dargie Delight 2 this week! It's an xmas present for my 11 year old son. He's going strong after three years of playing bass, and deserves a Ball like his old man! He plays with his fingers - never a pick.

truly one lucky 11yr old.
Will prompt many hours of practice for sure...good stuff
