When I read in another thread that you had another Axis coming I thought.....his collection so far is awesome, I'm sure this one is going to look cool, too. Now, I've seen the new one, all I can say is WOW:eek: That Axis looks killer. Congrats.

Awesome job there!!

Was it hard knowing the original top was going to be stripped forever, or was it already beatup? Could we get pics of the sides and back to, or were they not touched? Was the pricing fair and is this guy an independent luthier?

sorry i didnt answer the other part of your question....

it was not hard seeing it painted over, because the top was not that great to begin with. I dont know if Rob would consider himself an independernt luthier? i guess you would have to ask him. i feel that i got a good deal...the guitar looks sweet! and the best thing is it is still a EB! so it play like a dream too! :D

Wow, I finally got it. I was so confused, I was like "what did he do to the EVH? what is he going to do to it?" I thought you meant "stripped" like you had stripped off the paint or stripped it of electronics, now I see... stripe-d!

duh Beth.... golly gee

My Bad, Lenny. First, I mistake an Axis Hardtail for a Axis SS hardtail in another thread and now I call a beautiful EVH an Axis. I should know better, cause for Brent it's EVH or nuthin'.:D I've got to get my balls sorted out.:p

P.S. Brent we need to see that EVH in action.

This is undeniably the greatest guitar I have ever seen - just needs a D-tuna.

Has anyone tried more than one d-tuna on the same guitar? Thoughts?
I tried to do that. I put one on the high E and couldn't get it right. It may work on the lower strings better.
