What are you people, on dope?

I'd say this series is a tribute to the original instruments that pre-dated the Axis (EVH the guitar ... not the person ... he didn't actually build these y'know) - the design of a guitar that's become a classic - by using similar techniques to the original builds, colours, etc.

They look phenomenal. I know it's like crack to a lot of guys ... I'm guessing we'll see a lot of Axis' being sold to fund these :)

I don't see anything wrong with making a tribute to EVH. One of the great guitar players of this world.
But if you say the guitar is a tribute to it's own self, It is also OK with me!
Anyway they look great and yes I do a little dope from time to time...

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
I also thought that it was a tribute to the 1991 EVH EBMM guitar. I thought that he was heavily involved with the design of the guitar too.

New forum member here.. first post..

I actually don't own an EBMM guitar yet.. but have been waiting for the right axis to come along and perk my interest. When I saw this thread a few days ago, I immediately ordered a pink one from Robbie. My local GC guys had no clue about this model (understandably) so it was just easier to order direct from Robbie since he has all the info..

I've always loved the more unusual EVH colors and I hope the pink one looks as good in person as I think it will. Purple and blue tied for a very close second choice. Heck they are all very nice.. but I have a gut feeling that the pink one will be the one to own..

I too would love to see an outdoor pic of pink one similar to the purple photo shown earlier in this thread.

Looking forward to getting it in.. best of luck you who are placing orders for these.. don't wait! I have a feeling these will all go very fast.

To change the subject, will the purples be various shades or will a few of them be like the one at the guitar show?

I reckon you get Eddie to sign each one of these guitars, and BP and him to rekindle their friendship.
Let's not fight ey guys

I don't see that happening since EVH has his own company now and is trying to compete with ebmm. I personally am not a fan of the new wolfgang btw. Regardless of who designed it, the EVH/Axis guitar received notice through it's association with him so it would be silly to deny who or what the guitars are a "tribute" to. I haven't been on here that long but from what I have read ebmm seems to be grateful to have had the opportunity to work with EVH. It's just too bad that evh is/was a flake and the relationship disolved. These are fantastic guitars and blow his new stuff out of the water imho.

Well I think we all know that the odds of Sterling and Ed rekindling their friendship does not seem likely anytime soon. I am more interested in what happened in the 16 years since he left EBMM that is really interesting. Sterling did not seem to skip a beat and kept on chugging, and EBMM in the guitar department is at the height of their popularity turning out some of the best guitars on the market today-period. They have a thread up on the HC forum right now (EBMM or PRS) that 35 posters responded to already and what I found surprising is that it is EB in a (landslide) by something like 33 to 2, and that is a neutral site. On the other hand Ed has not had a new album out in the last 15 years, which also have been the worst of his career in everyway imaginible. I keep it real and he did make a nice ax with Peavey but unlike the road EB went down when he left of working with the top players in the business and maintaining top shelf quality, Hartley went down the toilet and is turning out $250 Asian guitars that are not even relevant in the guitar community. I find it all very interesting and have to chalk it up to the correct way to run a business, or else Sterling has some serious little dolls with pins.lmfao

Welcome to the forum maltomario, a very cool guy with some really killer axes.
