How long does it take to achieve such drawing with PP ?
I am really impressed

Well, if you're interested in the F-series I've owned my F-100 2x12 combo for over 3.5 years and through hundreds of practices and gigs it has performed flawlessly. In the first post of the F-series Lounge, Dann'sTheMan has put up a bunch of clips from all the members if you'd like to have a listen: http://acapella.harmony-central.com...p?s=&threadid=885856&perpage=100&pagenumber=1francric said:That's pretty interesting stuff there Hal. I've been considering a F series amp, 50 or 30, leaning a bit towards a 30 because I don't want to blow the house down. Later on I can just add the extra cab. But with the mod you just showed maybe a 50 will work...........I believe in my search of F series info in the past I've come across your info on Harmony Central. There are some pretty cool F series setups over there.
Thanks. I actually used PP a lot for my work, and it naturally progressed into the kind of photorealistic drawings I posted. Yes, everything is in PowerPoint, except the quilted maple top and grill cloth which were rendered in a photo program.threeminutesboy said:How come you can achieve that with PP
The Mesa logo is Powerpoint ?

LOL! To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen anybody else do this kind of work, which basically means I'm the only one crazy enough to try to pull it off.threeminutesboy said:![]()

But lucky me, I have some studio recording session tonight so ...I feel my mood is up again![]()

Nah, the tuner isn't noisy at all, so the only noise is due to high gain from the F-50. I can ask him if you're really curious.SteveB said:Man, that must be one noisy Tuner pedal in Tommi's rig! I can't figure out what noise the Noise Supressor is squashing in that signal chain...![]()
I'm glad I could inspire you Bungo. I actually like the cartoon feel you pulled-off. If you seriously want to attempt a rig I can help you out.Bungo said:Having been inspired by your work in this thread hal, I thought I'd have a go myself!
I tried PowerPoint but all I could do was make really dull presentations with bits flying in from the side and that kind of junk, so I went back to my preferred package of 'PencilPoint' and came up with this.
As I'm sure you can tell, I'm very proud of my first attempt!![]()

I got a response back from Tommi Steve. He said that he uses the NS-2 in the extreme case where he's in a venue that has either bad power or poor acoustics which cause excessive feedback. He normally doesn't employ it all the much, so it's more of a safety measure.SteveB said:Bungo, I have that exact same rig!![]()
Hal9000.. I'd be interested to know if he hears any difference in the noise level if he eliminates that pedal (Noise Supporessor) altogether, versus having it in the chain.

How about these settings?

Sweet! I'm glad I could help. I love the vintage high gain setting because it's so clean and dynamic. Even at 9:00 on the gain I still have plenty of saturation, but it cleans up wonderfully with my Ravelle's volume knob and cuts through like a champ.Eilif said:Actually, I've had the hal9000F-SeriesMixPotMasterRevB.jpg file on my desktop for weeks and weeks now...just haven't had time to get a pair of plugs and try out the mod.
My Contour settings are very close to your Vintage High Gain settings. In fact, seeing your settings for the first time, over in the F-series Lounge, made me go "Aha!" and run to my amp to try some tweaking. I'd upgraded to the F-30 from a Marshall AVT50, and although I love the F-30 (my first tube amp!) and the warmth and great sounds, I was missing that Marshall vibe. I've since becomed accustomed to the Boogie vibe, but I still hit Contour when I need a quick Marshall fix. The main differences between my settings and yours are that my Mid is at 12:00 (lots of mids already coming from the Axis pickups), and my Master is around 7:30 since I'm a bedroom player and would like to remain married.I occasionally fiddle with having the gain anywhere between 8:00 and 10:30; it's currently on 8:30.
