Another question, I'm a good guitar player however this is my first experience with a piezo, my gear is the following: JP7 (soon! ) -> Boss GT8->AMP. How should I set up in other to use the magnetic and the piezo simultaneously. A stereo cable?

You can use a stereo cable, or you can use two mono cables. The stereo cable can then go to a splitter box so that the magnetic pickup signal can go to an amp, and the piezo signal can go to PA, acoustic amp, whatever. It's possible that you will need a DI box with a ground lift for the piezo. Yeah I read that thread, but I thought it was on special cases, so I really cant use the guitar with a single amp right? and is it 100% that I'll need the DI box?

You can use the guitar with a single amp, but it does the piezo no justice.

The simplest way is to use a plain old amp cord (mono a.k.a. Tip/Sleeve) and plig it into the guitar's mono output jack. You can then use the JP's toggle switch on the upper horn to select magnetic output, piezo output, or both simulataneously.

You also have a separate volume control for the piezo on the JP.

If you use two mono cables, or a stereo cable plus splitter box, you can send the piezo signal to an amplification device worthy of its sound. That would be a PA system, acoustic amp (like a Fishman Loudbox), or even a keyboard amp. A regular guitar amp doesn't really do a good job of duplicating the entire range of frequencies that the piezo can produce.

When using different amps for magnetic and piezo, you will most likely need a DI box with ground lift to avoid hum.

Thanks for all the pointers, unfortunately I dont have a PA or an Acoustic Amp (yet!) In fact I have a 2x12 solid state amp, Im saving to change probably to a Mesa Mark IV altho the Lonestar thread is making me real curious about it.I'll take care of the piezo somehow, I'll buy the DI box since it doesnt seem to be expensive at all .

A regular guitar amp doesn't really do a good job of duplicating the entire range of frequencies that the piezo can produce.

Actually, the Egnater Mod 50 I tried a couple weeks ago did an incredible job with the JP6 piezo sound with a mono cable. Fantastic. It really sounded like nylon strings. Fantastic!

But yeah. SteveB is probably right when it comes to most electric guitar amps.
